It is very smooth, especially once the initial inertia to get it started moving has been met. Seems pretty tight right now as far as not having any play what so ever. I haven't even tried any lubricant, I don't think it will be needed. I've been working with the 8020 extrusion for my pan/tilt head and have been toying with making an automated dolly using some of their bearing material.
